In this section we provide a summary of the ferry companies' policies regarding ticket cancellations, refunds and rebooking. Each ferry company has its own policy. We also provide an overview of the rules on passenger rights as described by the relevant authorities. Company policies and passenger rights are determined by the ferry operators and relevant authorities and not by Ferryhopper. Therefore, Ferryhopper is not responsible for any changes to these policies and rules.
Ferryhopper has its own terms of use, which you can read here. Before paying for your tickets, you will be asked to read and agree to the terms and conditions of bothferry jumpersand the ferry company you are traveling with. We are legally required to follow these policies regarding the issuance, modification and cancellation of ferry tickets and we cannot make any exceptions to these rules.
Regarding the cases in which you need to collect your paper tickets before traveling, remember that the cancellation process is different if you have already collected them. The process is also different if you have already checked in online and received your boarding pass.

To cancel your ferry tickets, you must at least request a cancellationThree days(72 hours) before the scheduled departure of your ferry. Please note that cancellation requests cannot be made over the phone. You can request a cancellation throughminimum reserveon our website or by completing our online contact form.
Once you have canceled your reservation, you will receive a refund provided by the ferry company(s) you booked your trip with. You will be refunded the maximum amount possible based on the time remaining between your cancellation and the departure date. Please note that Ferryhopper charges a small cancellation fee of €6 (euros) per booking. The transaction currency used on our website is the euro (€). Ferryhopper is not responsible for the difference between the exchange rate at the time of the first transaction and at the time of cancellation.

If you have already collected your paper tickets and wish to cancel them, you must return them in one of the following ways:
- If you are outside of Athens (for example, on an island), you can return your tickets at any local travel agency that cooperates with the ferry company with which you booked your trip. Contact details for all ticket collection and return points can be found by clicking the link in the booking confirmation email. The travel agency stamps and cancels your tickets. Once this is done, they will keep the canceled tickets and either refund your money or give you the canceled tickets to return to our Athens offices and receive a refund via Ferryhopper.
- If you are still in Athens or planning to visit after your trip, you can return your tickets at Ferryhopper offices at Thessalonikis 147, Moschato 183 46, Athens (Monday to Friday 08:00-18:00 and Saturday from 10:00 to 15:00). :00). Our team will cancel your tickets and process your refund request.
- If you are unable to return your tickets in person, you can send them to Ferryhopper by courier or post. In this case, you must request the cancellation in one of the following ways: sending us an email, filling out our online contact form or throughminimum reservesection of our website. The process involves cancellation and rebooking of the tickets, therefore the ferry company may also impose a cancellation fee as per their policy. Ferryhopper imposes a small exchange fee of €6 (euros) per booking.
Please note that online ticket change requests can only be processed during business hours. According to the rules of the ferry companies, you must make your requestat least 3 days(72 hours) before the scheduled departure.
Ferryhopper's opening hours are: Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 18:00 and Saturday from 10:00 to 15:00 (EEST).
If you would like your request processed outside of our business hours and it is close to your departure, please visit a local travel agency that works with the ferry company you are traveling with and they will be able to process your request. You can find the contact details of the local travel agents in your booking confirmation email. If you contact us within 72 hours of your scheduled departure, we will do our best to assist you, but we cannot guarantee that there will be sufficient time to process your request.
Important note:if you have already collected your ferry tickets from a collection point, you will need to return the tickets for your change request to be processed. You can return your tickets at our offices or at a travel agency that cooperates with the ferry company you are traveling with.
You can convert your ticket to an open ticket by making a request throughminimum reservesection on the Ferryhopper website.
Open dated tickets are valid for6 months to 1 yearfrom your original departure date and only for the same ferry route and company as the tickets you originally booked. Please note that if the ferry company does not offer the e-ticket option, you will need to pick up your paper tickets at our offices in central Athens or have them sent to you by courier. It is also important to mention that open tickets are generally non-refundable in case of cancellation.
In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), if you wish to change or cancel a ticket on behalf of another passenger, please contact us fromsameemail address or phone number used for the reservation. Ferryhopper is obliged to comply with this regulation to guarantee the security of your personal data. Therefore, if you do not contact us from the same email address or phone number, we will not be able to process your request. We are committed to ensuring the privacy of our customers.
If the email address or phone number used during the reservation is no longer available, we may need additional information to verify your identity and continue with your request. We may also request additional information if you wish to change the email address or telephone number you have provided.
Each ferry company has its own cancellation policy. If you cancel your tickets, you will receive a refund according to the policy of the ferry companies you booked with. The amount you get refunded depends on the time that elapses between the cancellation and your departure. In order for us to process your cancellation request in accordance with the terms and conditions of the ferry company, you must inform us at least 72 hours before the scheduled departure. Please note that a small cancellation fee of €6 (euros) applies per booking.

Refunds are always issued to the same credit/debit card that you used for your reservation. Depending on your bank, it usually takes5-10 business daysfor the return to be processed and the money to appear in your bank account.
It is important to be careful when filling in passenger details during booking to avoid typographical and spelling errors. The standard procedure to change a reservation is to cancel the issued ticket and request a new one with the correct information.
On domestic routes, ferry companies can be more forgiving when it comes to misspellings and you're unlikely to encounter a problem during boarding. However, if you are traveling internationally or have purchased discounted tickets, you may not be allowed to board the ferry. Therefore, you must ensure that all passenger information is written exactly as it appears on the passenger's personal documents. In the event that a completely different name is filled in, we recommend that you contact us so we can verify what options are available.
Please also make sure you have provided the correct email address and phone number so that we can send you booking confirmation and contact you in case of last minute changes to your trip (for example due to bad weather, strikes, etc.) .)
As long as the vehicle type is correct and your trip is on a domestic route, chances are you won't have any problems during boarding.
The standard procedure to change a reservation is to cancel the issued ticket and request a new one with the correct information.
However, if you are traveling internationally, you may not be allowed to board the ferry. Therefore, you need to make sure that all the details are written correctly.
